Some time ago, I had asked a Spanish friend why there was so little information (and so few books) about the Spanish motorcycle industry available in English. His simple answer, “because you haven’t written it yet” was intended as a joke in many ways but it sparked an idea. Like a dog with a bone, I couldn’t leave it alone then and started a hunt to track down as many Spanish brands as I could find. I am close to 100 now and still searching.

I retired in 2018 and have spent a lot of time visiting motorcycle museums and collections throughout Western Europe. Originally, I was looking at putting together a book based on my many photos and the information that I had found but, as I am uncovering new details almost every week, I decided to aim for an online format, that can be easily edited and expanded as I find more brands.
Unless specifically credited to someone else, all the photographs used are my own. Likewise, where I have been given permission to reproduce any documentation etc, the source is credited. The old advertisements etc are slightly more difficult as they are taken from obsolete or unidentified publications. If any item that I have used on here infringes any copyright, I will rectify that immediately that I am notified.

This is not a commercial website, and I do not derive any income from it. My contributions to various motorcycling publications and websites are made as an enthusiast. Likewise, I do not cover my photographs with watermarks or copyright symbols, and I put them in the public domain so that other likeminded enthusiasts can see them. If anybody wants to use them, all I ask is that I am credited as the source.
As a non-commercial website, I am responsible for the content and, to most extents, the layout. If you see a glaring error (incorrect hyperlinks etc) please let me know via the comments section.

This replica of the experimental 1955 MYMSA 125cc special was built at the MYMSA (Motores y Motos, S.A.) Collection in Santa Eulàlia de Ronçana (Barcelona), where this photograph of me onboard it was taken in 2021.
I have added a page detailing my main reference books (virtually all are in Spanish) and on a separate page, a list of Museums (and/or collections) within Spain that I have visited. I am indebted to the owners or directors of these as, in many cases, they have been flexible with their hours of access to accommodate my travelling down from SW France.
Navigation of this site should be fairly easy. There are 4 pages that are, in effect, an index (A-F, G-M, N-S and T-Z) and clicking on the logos on those pages will take you to the page dedicated to that brand. If all else fails, there is a search facility at the bottom of the Home Page and a Pages and Post List.
Finally, whilst this “project” has been primarily concerned with motorcycles, I have also included sidecars, motocarros and microcars.
