Olimpic (Igualada 1953-1955)

After the Fuste and JFC motorcycle businesses, there is limited information about Julio Fusté Cercós and his efforts or enterprises again, until the early 1950s.

In 1953, it is known that Julio began working as a chassis designer and manufacturer for the Olimpic brand, owned by Marcelo Claramunt Tartela and based in Igualada (Barcelona).

Olimpic produced two very similar models, each with Hispano Villiers, single cylinder, air cooled, two-stroke engines of either 125cc (123cc) or 200cc (197cc) capacity.   Eventually in 1955, Fusté bought the company and created a new company, “Fabrica Espanola de Motocicletas y Triciclos Delfin” who continued to produce the exact same models only now under the Delfín brand name.

The last models produced under the Olimpic brand had the initials JFC incorporated on their tank badges as in the example here.
